Jan Wierix

Jan Wierix (1549 – ca. 1620), was a Flemish engraver and an important member of the Wierix family of engravers.
==Biography==
He was born in Antwerp and became an engraver along with his brothers Hieronymous and Antoine.〔(Jan Wierix ) in the RKD〕〔Het Gulden Cabinet, by Cornelis de Bie, p 520〕 He was hired along with Dominicus Lampsonius to work for Volcxken Diericx in her publishing company ''Aux Quatre Vents'' when he engraved the prints for ''Pictorum aliquot celebrium Germaniae inferioris effigies'' in 1572.
He died in Brussels.〔
